Majors (Baseball/Softball)
THE PREMIER DIVISION!! This is where you want your son or daughter to play. The Little League Baseball Division (sometimes known as the Major Division) is for boys and girls ages 11-12. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet. The local league has an option to choose a Tournament Team (or "All Stars") from within this division, and the team may enter the International Tournament. The culmination of the International Tournament is the Little League Baseball World Series, featuring teams from around the globe. All expenses for the teams advancing to the World Series (travel, meals and housing) are paid by Little League Baseball
Minors (Baseball/Softball)
Minor League Baseball programs for boys and girls may be operated within each division for younger players with less experience. This is the foundation level of players learning the fundamentals of pitching. The minor league is used as a developmental league for the Major Leagues. The minor league may be players ages 9-10. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet.
Coaches Pitch (Baseball/Softball)
Coaches Pitch is designed for ages 7-8. Scores are kept. Still a learning division, but competitive. Players will receive 6 pitches from the adult pitcher and will get 3 swings to hit the ball before deemed out at bat. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and an adult pitcher throws a pitch from a distance of 40 feet.
Modified Coaches Pitch -fully coed
Modified Coaches Pitch is designed for ages 5-6.. Scores are kept. Still a learning division, but competitive. Players will receive 3 pitches. After 3 pitches if no contact is made, player will hit from the tee. This division is the perfect transition from tee ball to coaches pitch! The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and an adult pitcher throws a pitch from a distance of 40 feet.
Tee Ball -fully coed
Tee Ball Baseball is for boys and girls 3-4 years old- coed who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. In Tee Ball, players hit a ball off a batting tee. Rules of the game may be varied to accommodate the need for teaching. The primary goals of Tee Ball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork. Later on in the year, some live pitching is permitted in this division. Generally, the diamond used is a a 60-foot diamond.
